Gender & Inclusion
Introduction
REMIT is dedicated to promoting gender and inclusion in Pakistan through various initiatives. These initiatives aim to incorporate inclusivity into the processes and procedures of organizations and to showcase the impact of gender-sensitive policies on women’s economic empowerment.
Achievements
- Gender Audit Support to PSW: One such initiative was the “Gender Audit Support to PSW.” This initiative aimed to incorporate inclusivity into the processes and procedures of PSW. The initiative was successfully completed, and the recommendations have been added to the annual workplan of PSW.
- Economy for All (EOA) Group: Another flagship initiative of REMIT is the Economy for All (EOA) group. This group serves as a sounding board for the program’s gender and inclusion work with members from various sectors, especially champions in the private sector.
- Gender Case Studies: The REMIT team collaborated with K4D and FCDO to develop gender case studies showcasing the impact of gender-sensitive policies on women’s economic empowerment in Pakistan. These case studies aim to promote inclusivity and improve gender outcomes in the country.
