Climate Change
Introduction
REMIT has been instrumental in advocating for the establishment of the Climate Finance Facilitation Unit (CFFU) at the Ministry of Finance. Through REMIT’s advocacy efforts, the ministry engaged in policy dialogues with climate finance experts, leading to the establishment of the CFFU to facilitate climate finance processes in the country. REMIT will continue to support the Ministry of Finance in tapping into alternative bond and blended finance products to promote sustainable development.
Achievements
Promoting Sustainable Development: REMIT’s advocacy for enabling systems to access international climate finance is a step in the right direction towards promoting sustainable development in Pakistan.
