Following the successful launch of the Capacity Building Programme with the Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP), the International Geoscience Services UK team has completed the first phase of training for GSP officials and technical experts through an intensive two-week coaching and knowledge-transfer programme.
The training focused on strengthening technical capabilities in geophysics, including airborne geophysical survey planning, implementation, and QA/QC procedures, alongside digital data interpretation and mapping techniques, modern data collection and management workflows, multi-data integration,GIS-based geo-data analysis and visualization, and the development of standardized digital workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve the efficiency, consistency, and quality of geological survey operations.
This initiative marks an important step toward advancing the adoption of modern geoscientific practices and enhancing institutional capacity within GSP.
We look forward to building on this momentum in the upcoming stages of the programme.
