REMIT – London Tech Week 2026 Follow-Up Reception

Following the strong participation of Pakistan’s technology sector at London Tech Week 2026, a follow-up reception at the residence of Deputy High Commissioner Alison Blackburn brought together Pakistani tech companies with UK companies joining virtually.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja attended as Chief Guest. Her remarks reflected the government’s Digital Pakistan and Tech Destination Pakistan agenda that Pakistan is open to international technology partnership and investment, and that sustained relationships are what convert interest into exports, jobs and skills.

From FinTech, AI and cybersecurity to digital services, EdTech and HealthTech, the discussions highlighted the significant potential to deepen collaboration between the UK and Pakistan’s technology ecosystems.

For REMIT, this is an important part of the London Tech Week journey. The programme worked with partners to create opportunities for the wider technology ecosystem. The follow-up in Karachi is about maintaining that momentum.

As Alison Blackburn said, “the UK remains open for partnership and innovation and committed to building stronger connections between our two technology ecosystems for mutual growth and prosperity.
