REMIT’s week-long exercise on climate and gender budget

REMIT’s week-long exercise on climate and gender budget tagging concluded successfully, bringing together over 200 participants from 42 departments of the Government of Sindh.

Through hands-on activities and practical model runs, participants were introduced to the budget-tagging methodology and actively engaged in reviewing relevant actions and measures within their departments. The exercise emphasized how climate and gender budget tagging can be used to strengthen evidence-based policymaking and improve resource allocation across the province.

This marks the beginning of an intensive phase ahead for advancing climate and gender budget tagging within the Government of Sindh, laying the groundwork for more inclusive, responsive, and data-driven public financial management.
