At the National Regulatory Reforms launch in a ceremony at the Prime Minister’s house, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif launched Regimeter – a dedicated digital platform to monitor and share progress on regulatory reforms.

The Prime Minister described this initiative as a ‘quantum leap’ towards improving Pakistan’s investment climate and emphasized the critical role of digitisation in making Pakistan globally competitive.

UK Minister of International Development Baroness Jennifer Chapman was also present and highlighted the strength of international partnerships in supporting Pakistan’s reform agenda. She mentioned FCDO’s support through the REMIT programme as the requisite strategic partnership for mutual gains.

What makes this moment even more meaningful is that it represents the outcome of several years of hard, behind-the-scenes work by the REMIT team – a sustained, focused effort to turn reform from aspiration into action. The work continues in partnership with the Board of Investment and reflects persistence, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to institutional strengthening.
