We at REMIT Pakistan celebrate the passage of the Asaan Karobar Bill, 2025 in the Senate, marking its approval by both houses of Parliament and paving the way for Pakistan’s journey toward smarter, simpler, and more transparent regulation.
After three years of relentless collaboration between government partners, regulatory bodies, private-sector contributors, and development partners, this achievement marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a much bigger one.
The Asaan Karobar Bill lays the foundation for transforming how business is conducted in Pakistan. With the establishment of a National Business Registry and a unified one-window portal, entrepreneurs will finally be able to access all business-related information in one place. This system will remove outdated requirements, streamline registrations and approvals, and bring clarity, transparency, and predictability to regulatory processes.
Taken together, these reforms signal a fundamental shift in how business will be seen and done in Pakistan.
But while this legislation is a milestone worth celebrating, it is not the finish line. The real work begins now. Turning legal provisions into real-world ease will require commitment, coordination, and consistency. Ground-level implementation (across institutions, provinces, and sectors) will determine whether the promise of “Asaan Karobar” becomes an everyday reality for small entrepreneurs, growing enterprises, and future investors.
To our partners, collaborators, and champions of reform: thank you for your trust, expertise, and tireless effort. Together, we now move into the next phase to turn this legislative success into tangible change for businesses across the country.
