After months of extensive consultations with stakeholders from the public, private, and academic sectors, Pakistan’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy has been successfully drafted.

REMIT supported the Ministry of Industries throughout this vital process and formally handed over the policy to the Minister for review and onward submission to the Cabinet.

The EV sector in Pakistan holds immense potential, not just for economic growth , but also for environmental sustainability and the greening of our economy.

In addition to contributing to Pakistan’s commitment to reduce emissions by 50% under its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), achieving EV adoption targets could save the country 5.8 million tons of oil worth USD 3 billion by 2030!
